Hi {first_name},
Your score sits at the underactive (hypothyroid) end of the spectrum — the symptoms we see clustered in patients with low thyroid function. Not a diagnosis, but a pattern worth investigating.
Three things worth knowing as you read the rest of this page.
A score in the low range means your symptoms cluster the way we see in patients with an underactive thyroid. Only proper testing can confirm what’s going on.
Most patients see meaningful change within 8–12 weeks of starting a personalised plan, when they stick with the recommendations.
The fastest way to know what’s actually going on is a free 15-minute call with one of our practitioners.
These are the symptoms that drive a low thyroid score — the ones you flagged, plus others that often travel with them. Low thyroid creeps in slowly and gets blamed on stress, age, or perimenopause.
Three of these sound familiar? It’s worth a 15-minute conversation with a practitioner.

If you’ve had your thyroid checked and been told it’s “normal” — but you still feel off — you’re not alone. Standard GP testing usually only checks TSH. That’s one number out of five that matter.
It’s why so many of our patients come to us after months or years of being told everything looks fine. A full functional thyroid panel looks at the whole picture: TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies — and that’s where the real answers usually live.
The aim isn’t to over-test. It’s to test the right things so we can build a plan that actually addresses what’s going on.
What standard tests miss
Subclinical low thyroid, conversion issues (T4 → T3), and early autoimmune activity (Hashimoto’s) often don’t show up on TSH alone.
What we look for
Full thyroid panel (TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, antibodies). When clinically useful, we also test nutrient cofactors like iron, selenium, zinc and iodine.
What good looks like
When patients stick to their plan, most see meaningful change within 8–12 weeks — energy first, then weight, mood, and cycle.
No surprises. Here’s exactly what to expect.

“I’d been trying for years with menopause causing thyroid issues and weight gain. I booked in with Kelly at AF Health and within four weeks I’ve never felt so good. So much more energy, losing weight.”

Book Your Free CallThe most common things patients ask before their first call.
The discovery call is free. An initial consultation is $289 and includes a full case review, clinical assessment, and personalised plan. We’ll always explain what’s involved before anything is booked.
No referral needed to see a naturopath. You can book directly. If you’ve already had blood tests through your GP, bring them — we’ll review them as part of your consult.
That’s absolutely fine — we work alongside your GP, not against them. Many of our patients are on thyroxine and still don’t feel right. We help fill the gaps by supporting nutrient status, gut health and lifestyle factors that affect how well your medication works.
Functional testing is optional and only recommended when clinically useful. Costs start from around $20, and we’ll always explain exactly what’s being ordered and why before anything is run. No surprise bills.
